HOW TO USE: Take Silodosin tablet/capsule orally with food one time per day. Take doctors’ advice before taking medicine. Silodosin comes in capsule so do not chew it or don’t open it.
HOW SILODOSIN WORKS: Silodosin blocks the alpha A1 receptors which located in urethra and bladder. By blocking these receptors Silodosin relaxes the smooth muscles and by this process the flow of urination improves.
PHARMACOKINETICS OF SILODOSIN: Normally Silodosin absorbed by the gut. The AUC and peak plasma level may effected by the food. The bio avaibility of Silodosin is 32%. The metabolism of Silodosin is done in liver. The half-life of Silodosin is approximately 13.3±8.07 hrs. The rout of elimination of Silodosin is renal 33.5% and by faecal 54.9%.
SIDE EFFECTS OF SILODOSIN: The side effects of Silodosin are ejaculation problem, fainting, headache, dizziness, light headedness. If you have side effect like fainting or weakness contact your doctor and take advice. There are some rare side effects like rash, allergy, and redness of skin, itching or trouble in breathing.
